This is my first journal posting in this forum. It took me a couple of seconds to figure out how to do it; the layout for this web site is not, exactly, the most intuitive I have ever seen. For instance, if I were the one to have designed this site, I would have put a "post in your journal" button on the page that loads when you click on the journal button from your profile. But, whatever. I DIDN'T design the site, so I guess that's not my problem.

I have a BIG meeting tomorrow with a very influential client that could, very likely, make or break my web design career. It's a high-profile job with a ton of potential for more work. I know I already have the job (I'm doing it pro bono, as it were), but I MUST make a good impression. I won't lose the job, but impressing the lady will go a long way toward more (paying) work. And, besides that, if I do an absolutely perfect job on the site, it will be an excellent referral all in itself. To tell you the truth, I am sick to death of doing things the way that other people want them. I guess that's why I have so many other sites out there of my own: so that I express myself that way. I mean, it's a challenge to make something from someone else's vision (like the web sites I do and the tattoo designs that I make for people), but it is REALLY stifling.
